Ecofeminist

As an ecofeminist, since 2015 I’ve been developing Lechnica Biotope – a permaculture center located in Polish-Slovak borderland in the Carpathians aimed at collaborative work and community building (together with my partner, Marek Styczynski). In 2023 we established Biotope Lechnica Foundation.

Since then, it has morphed into a major site of my postartistic practice, which is aimed at building an infrastructure for shared, material and site-specific imagining of life that respects human (in all its diversity of races, ethnicities, genders, and other sociocultural factors) and more-than-human lives, and a fair economic order – in line with the principles of permacultural design. It is also a material and imaginary work for the future, inspired by active hope.

More on my ecofeminist engagement in the interview published in 2019 in RTV Magazine affiliated with Galeria MIejska Arsenał (Poznań): ENG and POL.
